The WMXtreme race team was born out of the love for the sport of motocross. Our
mission is to carry the team concept to the amateur levels by promoting active competition
at all stages, providing quality products and components, and by teaching superior
sportsmanship and ethics.
The team concept provides a solid foundation for our youth by creating an atmosphere
in which our experienced riders can share their knowledge, skill sets and riding
principles. This not only stimulates the future generation of motocross but provides
a competitive arena for older riders to participate in for years to come.
Team WMX consists of A through C riders, ages pee wee to seniors. We try to cultivate
and encourage a family atmosphere by supporting and guiding teammates at the track
and at home.
As we move forward we hope that our sponsors will jump on board with this new and
exciting way to engage and promote the sport of motocross at the grass roots amateur
level - where all good pros started.
Partners John Wernsdorfer and David Mosier founded WMXtreme based upon these principals
and strive to a run an elite organization today and well into the future.
John Wernsdorfer is the team manager and acting coordinator for the new WMXtreme.com
race team. His 25 years in the industry gives him the ability to make decisions
for all levels of riders and keep the team running efficiently. John is an accomplished,
expert MX racer and occasionally participates in the Senior A or 45+ class.
David is a successful local businessman that grew up racing in MAMA and AMA District
7 at the expert class level. David met John in 2004, after having a problem with
a new custom Service Honda CR500AF MX bike he purchased. They both hit it off right
away and have been working together ever since. David says this of his relationship
with John, "John has amazing talent in customizing motorcycles to not only look
fantastic, but operate at a level only the factory teams with unlimited resources
could surpass. You have to stop by our pits at a MDRA race to truly appreciate his
work on all the bikes."
