Round 8 was hosted by Doublin Gap and as usual track and hospitality were top notch. The Donnelly family had a ham and pork sandwich cookout and with the team families pitching in as usual, the team supper was a winner. Jeremy Mosier brought home a 2nd in Open Beginner class for the WMXtreme Team at the Saturday evening pit bike races. Sunday brought some top finishes with Daryn Thompson going home with a 3rd overall in the 85B class and a 1st overall in the supermini. The Lupester once again had a few tricks in his bag going home with a 2nd overall in the Plus 30 C class. Rounding out our top finishers for the day was Stan Bolen with a 5th overall in Open C. Congrats to all our riders for a good weekend of racing.

Round 9 was hosted at Tomahawk Raceway in good old West Virginia. We would like to give Chad and his crew a big thank you for all their hard work all weekend, it really made for some great racing. We were happy to see some return team riders for the weekend. Once again we had nice weather, good conversation and great racing. Our weekend dinner of spaghetti and meatballs was enjoyed by all and Toni’s upside down pineapple cake was a knock out. Thanks to all who participated. Race day was filled with ups and downs with the following riders finishing in the top 5; Stan Bolen 5th overall in Open C, Daryn Thompson 4th overall in 85B 12-15 and 5th overall in Supermini and Jake Runkle, returning from a broken leg, pulled a 4th overall in 85B 9-11. Way to go guys.

Round 10 took us to Johnstown, PA to the well known Pleasure Valley Raceway, operated by Cernics. We would like to thank Jeff and his crew for his generous hospitality. Despite the overwhelming dust the weekend turned out great. The weather was fantastic and racing couldn’t have been better. Our Saturday evening dinner ended with an ice cream social which kids and adults all enjoyed. We would like to thank the Sparks for their generosity in bringing a watermelon to the ice cream social for all to enjoy. Sunday brought back the seriousness and everyone got down to business with a day full of racing. Our top finishers were as follows: Daryn Thompson winning his first race of the 85B and coming in 4th in the 2nd race pulling a 2nd overall, Zach Stoner had a great Junior Mini race pulling a 7th overall for the day, Stan Bolen going 4th and 5th for a 4th overall in Open C, and Mike Lupey going 5 and 5 for a 5th overall in the Plus 30 C class. The best holeshot for the day goes to Dave. Way to go guys and see you on Saturday at Sleepy’s where we will be having a chicken barbeque.
